Classical ballet
Ballet, especially classical ballet, puts great emphasis on the method and execution of movement. The foundation of the dance consists of five basic positions, all performed with turnout. (Pointe work is available for higher level students).The techniques found in classical ballet are a framework for many other styles of dance
Preschool class
Ballet & Tap combo class introducing the new dancer to class etiquette, steps and rhythms, learning a base for ballet, tap & jazz. Appropriate for ages 3-5
Jazz
Includes Hip-Hop and Lyrical. Hip-Hop is a funky energetic street-style dance originated in NY and LA with a jazz -based technique and Lyrical is a form of dance influenced by both classical ballet, modern and jazz dance. It takes its technique from classical ballet, although it permits a greater range of movement that may not adhere to the strict body lines set forth by schools of ballet technique.
TAP
Articulation of the feet incorporating steps and rhythms; develops coordination, rhythm, and timing.
